Le directeur de rd2, Denis Bourgeois PhD, oeuvre en architecture et dans le domaine des sciences du bâtiment depuis plus de 30 ans, comme chercheur, conseiller technique et consultant notamment en modélisation/simulation énergétique. Membre ASHRAE et IBPSA, Denis Bourgeois siège sur plusieurs comités de lecture scientifique, et a siégé sur plusieurs comités nationaux dont le Comité permanent de l'efficacité énergétique des bâtiments, le Comité consultatif sur les politiques du Système de cote Énerguide, ainsi que le Comité sur le renouvellement de la norme R2000. Il a présidé le Colloque eSim2008, et a reçu en 2009 le prix IBPSA d'excellence pour jeune chercheur. Ancien professeur à l'École d'architecture de l'Université Laval, Denis Bourgeois a donné plusieurs cours en construction/énergie, au baccalauréat et à la maîtrise. The director of rd2, Denis Bourgeois PhD, has been active in architecture and building science for more than 30 years as a researcher, technical advisor and consultant, with a focus on energy modelling/simulation of the built environment. An ASHRAE and IBPSA member, Denis Bourgeois sits on a number of international scientific committees, and has participated in various national committees such as the Standing Committee on Energy Efficiency in Buildings, the Energuide Policy Advisory Committee, as well as the
R2000 Standard Renewal Committee. He chaired the eSim2008 Conference, and received the 2009 IBPSA Young Contributor Award. Past professor at l'École d'architecture de l'Université Laval, Denis Bourgeois has given undergraduate and graduate courses on building construction and energy.
